After the breakup of the doom/death band Thorr's Hammer in 1995, Stephen O'Malley, Greg Anderson and Jamie Sykes formed Burning Witch. The band then added G. Stuart Dahlquist and vocalist Edgy 59, rounding out their lineup. Anderson left the band before they had recorded any real Burning Witch songs to start the band Goatsnake.
As for the music part of this album, Burning Witch is very slow and heavy with the drums slowly plodding along with the bass and guitar playing minimalist riffs. Emphasis usually put on spaces between notes, allowing the bass and guitar to resonate before proceeding to the next note. There are occasional bursts of feedback and noise from O'Malley, but for the most part the guitar and bass follow each other. One of the qualities of Burning Witch is Edgy 59's vocals which alter between a nasal and melodic singing voice to a brutal, tortured, and demented scream or shriek.
If you are searching for an album to totally change your point of view of doom metal, Crippled Lucifer is the one for you...
DOWNLOAD: http://rapidshare.com/files/31708478/crippled_lucifer_-_Burning_Witch.WWW.METAL4EVER.NET_BY_FORBIDDEN.rar
Mano)))lishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17215117489271602725noreply@blogger.com64tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756444076347927082.post-20630165595806350592008-07-14T13:05:00.002+01:002008-07-14T13:19:47.175+01:00Electric Wizard, We Live.
download link

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756444076347927082.post-64539677330259598382008-07-14T12:06:00.003+01:002008-07-16T14:36:37.055+01:00Electric Wizard, Supercoven.
Electric Wizard released Supercoven, a two song EP, back in 1998. He had done his tour of duty in the local underground punk scene and decided the world had enough bands. So, he kept his music to himself. But drummer and housemate Emil Amos (also of Holy Sons and OM) encouraged Hall to assemble a band and perform some of the mini-symphonies in public. A small collective of talented local musicians -- violinist Timothy Horner, a Jackie-O Motherfucker alum; classically trained pianist/bassist William Slater; and second guitarist Zak Riles, also of Harbor -- was assembled under the moniker Laurel Canyon (before the film of the same name was released) to play a couple of one-off shows. The reaction to the performances was so strong that a band was born despite itself.

Everything fell into place quickly, as if the music was guiding itself. The Burden of Hope was released under the group’s new name, Grails in 2003.

Burden of Hope, maybe the best release up-to –date from Grails, has an ambient/post-rock character and a beautiful climax, which leaves the listener full of emotions and music images.Mixing some folk influences, Grails enrich the albums's variety of sounds, making it a really pleasant listening or an atmospheric trip beyond...

download link: http://rapidshare.com/files/.../Grails_-_Burden_Of_Hope.rar
Mano)))lishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17215117489271602725noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756444076347927082.post-50524142541755454662008-07-08T22:39:00.009+01:002008-12-11T20:41:41.548+00:00Om - Conference Of The Birds<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220764227634992594" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; In 1999, Latimer, Stewart, Bass and guest Scherpenzeel, recorded Rajaz.
